The Foundation School was established in 1995 as a response to the demand for specialised, learner-centred education for children from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with remedial needs. The school emerged in 1989 as a small Saturday morning school in Joubert Park, run by founder – Jackie Gallagher.
ARE WE THE RIGHT SCHOOL FOR YOUR CHILD?
At Sparrow Foundation School, we understand that every child learns differently. If your child thrives in small classes, benefits from individual attention, and needs a supportive environment that embraces neurodiversity, then we may be the right fit.
Our holistic approach nurtures not only academic growth but also emotional and social development—helping learners build confidence, resilience, and a love for learning.
WHAT SETS US APART?
At Sparrow Foundation School, we go beyond the classroom to give every learner the tools to thrive.
We also offer engaging extra-mural activities that nurture creativity, problem-solving, and confidence — from coding and robotics, which build early computer skills, to chess, music, and drumming, which encourage discipline, teamwork, and self-expression.
Together, these programmes ensure that our learners grow not only academically but also socially and emotionally, building a strong foundation for future success.
